REGERA is the Koenigsegg’s Targa top 2-door limited production sports car which was unveiled at Geneva Motor Show in March 2015. only 80 units of this $2.2million prized beast will be built and sold. It is a plug-in hybrid sports car having 5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 ICE and 3 electric motors.
The Koenigsegg V8 is the most downsized homologated production ICE in the world, with 220hp per liter (using regular pump gas). In addition to the powerful twin-turbo V8 combustion engine. Regera also has three electric motors and cutting-edge battery power via new powertrain technology called Koenigsegg Direct Drive. This revolutionary technology removes the traditional gearbox, making the car lighter and more efficient, first in the industry. Yes, you heard right!
