]]> The Lamborghini banged with a new record will its all-new series Aventador SVJ at Nürburgring Nordschleife, a well-known track of 20.6kms in Germany. The newest super sports car from the House of the Raging Bull became the fastest production car achieving the record lap time of 6:44.97 minutes. And that even before the launch of this car. The launch of the All-new Aventador SVJ will take place in August at Monterey Car Week.

 

 

This supercar SVJ is the upgraded version of the previously launched production series Aventador SV (SuperVeloce). It is designed to have the best Aerodynamic efficiency, best weight to power ratio of only 1.98kg/hp and the best handling ahead of the Aventador SV. This one is also equipped with Lamborghini’s patented Active Aerodynamic system ALA 2.0, responsible for the best downforce and handling. This series is re-engineered to improve rear-wheel steering, four-wheel drive, and ESC which is stiffer that SVJ having retuned steering.

 

Stefano Domenicali, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman & CEO said, “Its tenure as the Nürburgring lap time record holder, even before its unveiling during Monterey Car Week in California in August, endorses Lamborghini’s competence in applying superlative design engineering and ground-breaking technologies. The SVJ is a super sports car at the zenith of performance, while also ensuring unrivaled driving pleasure.”  “This is another demonstration of the exceptional skill and teamwork of the dedicated personnel within Automobili Lamborghini: the R&D team, as well as our test drivers, and of course partners such as Pirelli,” added Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer.

 

The previous Nürburgring Nordschleife production car record at the same track by Lamborghini was set by Huracan Performante with a lap time of 6:52.01.
